• #01 - MIra's magic school 🔮

    • Welcome to my magical world!

Mira the Magician stands in the forest behind her is the full moon and she wears a wizard hat and in her hand is a broom

      Hello, nice to meet you!

My name is Mira, but I guess you already knew that!
It's really nice to finally meet you, I have been waiting for you since class 1 and I'm so excited to finally show you my world! It's full of magic and mysteries and I hope you like it as much as I do!

In the previous chapter you already learned some basic vocabulary about my magical world, but now it's time to deep dive!

In this chapter I will tell you everything about the wonders and miracles of my school for magical science and pottery!

Harry Potter? Oh no wait, pottery has nothing to do with Harry Potter.
Pottery is the art of creating objects made from clay and ceramics, like this:

You are wondering what pottery has to do with magic and my school?

Great... follow me and I'll explain you!

    • The Enchanted Pottery Class

Last year our school introduced a new school subject: Cauldron Pottery.

students creating their own magic potion pots

This class combines the art of pottery with the magical world of potion-making. In this subject students learn how to create their own cauldrons and potion pots. And the best part: Each student can add special magical properties to his or her own pot.

In a cozy, sunny pottery classroom, students gather around their workstations. The room is usually filled with the sound of pottery wheels and the singing of magical creatures flying around. House elves float around the classroom and are helping students with their pottery projects.

Our pottery teacher is Miss Claymore. She is a kind and clever witch who loves both, both pottery and potions. She always reminds us: "Remember, the key to a successful cauldron is not just in its shape, but in the magic you add into it."

All this sounds like a lot of fun, but creating your very own cauldron is also a lot of work. It takes more than 20 weeks, so nearly 5 months, until your cauldron is finished. Sometimes we have to stay up late because the best time to form your pot is during a full moon. Yesterday a student fell asleep and hit his head on the table.

All students shape their pots and cauldrons, but at the end you add your very own magical touch. Some cauldrons start glowing, while others are marked with symbols. Some students also add heart symbols. They say this helps to brew stronger love potions!

At the end of the semester, Professor Claymore usually gathers the students around one bubbling cauldron and says: "You've all done wonderfull. Don't forget: the magic you put into your creations will always be a part of you. Keep practicing, and who knows what incredible potions you'll brew in your very own cauldrons." The students then leave the classroom, in their hands carrying their magical creations.
